Habitat for Humanity
The West Palm Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is committed to strengthening our community through service and partnership with Habitat for Humanity. By volunteering on local home builds, our members help create safe, affordable housing while supporting families on their path to homeownership. Together, we are building more than houses, we are building hope, stability, and stronger communities, one family at a time.

The Power of Our Purses Campaign
The West Palm Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. proudly hosted The Power of Our Purses, an economic empowerment initiative encouraging members and the community to intentionally support Black-owned businesses.

Throughout the month, participants shopped at local and online Black-owned businesses, shared photos of their purchases, and helped promote entrepreneurship across our community. The campaign also supported the development of a Black-Owned Business Directory, creating a valuable resource to connect consumers with Black-owned businesses.

This initiative reflected Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.'s commitment to Economic Development, demonstrating how our collective purchasing power can strengthen businesses, create opportunities, and build wealth within our communities. Through intentional spending and community engagement, members helped amplify the message that every purchase has the power to make a lasting impact.

Generational Wealth Building
As part of May Week, the West Palm Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. hosted Generational Wealth Building, an educational program focused on equipping individuals and families with the knowledge and tools to build, protect, and preserve wealth for future generations.

Led by estate planning attorney Chioma Deere, Esq., the interactive session explored essential topics including estate planning, trusts and wills, wealth-building strategies, financial planning, and preparing the next generation for long-term financial success. Participants gained practical guidance on creating a lasting legacy through informed financial and legal decision-making.

This program exemplified our chapter's commitment to Economic Development by empowering the community with resources that promote financial literacy, asset protection, and generational wealth. Through education and meaningful dialogue, attendees left better prepared to make intentional financial decisions that strengthen families and build lasting economic stability.
